For the last month or more, the Indian television industry has been buzzing with reports of non-payment of dues to actors and employees. Many actors have come forward to express that they have not yet been paid for their work, and are facing a major financial crisis. It includes the team of Zee TV show Hamari Bahu Silk. All the leading actors and crew of the serial are urging the producers and the channel to pay their hard-earned money. The crew threatened to commit suicide if they did not pay their money, as they did not have the money to survive.

For now, it seems that his petition is falling on deaf ears, as nothing has happened so far. Apart from this, the discussion has started on social media about suicide, mental health and depression after actor Sushant Singh Rajput's unfortunate demise. Keeping this in mind, the lead actor of the show, Zaan Khan, has now requested everyone to listen to his pleas as well and save them as they are mentally disturbed. Invoking the hypocrisy of the entertainment industry, Zaan shared, "This is the hypocrisy of all, the entire unit of Hamari Bahu Silk which consists of 50 people who are pleading for their money. If not today, we'll ake a drastic step tomorrow. For the past one month, each one of us in the cast and crew has been sharing with you all."

"We are going through mental as well as financial trauma. While mental health is being affected and we need help." Zaan also shared updates on his many requests to the channel and producers to approve his dues. Currently, he has been talking about paperwork for the last 8 months. If the dues are not cleared within this week, then all of us (cast and crew) will have to adopt the legal path. The last option left for us is to file an FIR against them.
