Soldier martyr during encounter with terrorists, wave of grief in village

Shimla: Many soldiers have lost their lives for the country. In the meantime, a soldier from Hamirpur has died in an encounter with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. The martyr has been identified as Rohan Kumar son Rasil Singh Rahwasi village Galod Khas, Tehsil Galod district Hamirpur. Rohan was recruited in 14 Punjab Regiment of the Indian Army in 2016. Father Rasil Singh works as a confectioner in Amritsar, Punjab.

Rohan had a wedding in November, and wedding preparations were going on at home. Last day too, parents had bought some goods for the son's wedding in Hamirpur Market. With the news of the son's martyrdom, the joys of marriage turned into mourning. Rohan has an elder sister, who was married a few years ago. Presently, only son was the support of the parents. The news of the martyrdom of the youth has caused a wave of mourning in the whole village.

On the other hand, SDM Nadaun Vijay Dhiman confirmed in his statement, "Through the Tehsildar, information has been received about the martyr's death in Poonch, Srinagar". It is being told that information has been received from the army headquarters at the martyr's house. The body of the martyr will reach Hamirpur on Sunday. After which the last rites will be performed with military and state honors. Last month, Army soldier Ankush Thakur from Bhoranj was martyred in Galwan on India-China LAC. Due to the martyrdom of the soldier, there has been a wave of mourning in the entire village.
