Baghpat: You may have heard of all the news of prayers and pujas on the streets from place to place, though this may be the first case when Hanuman Chalisa and Puja have been recited on the National Highway. Hindu organizations and BJP leaders have come forward to chant Hanuman Chalisa on the street to protest the street prayers in Baghpat and now it has become a topic of discussion.

According to media reports, the case is Tuesday. In Baghpat's Baraut, the municipal chairman and BJP leader Amit Rana along with his supporters and Hanuman devotees recited not only Hanuman Chalisa on National Highway 709 but also Hanuman Ji's aarti along the road with an hour-clock.

Why can't we pray on the street?

As soon as the matter was reported, the officers swelled and stirred up. This is because the matter was religious, so the police did not stop, though they talked to the municipal chairman and BJP leader Amit Rana. Amit Rana told the authorities, "When namaj cannot be stopped on the street, then why puja? He said that it is a democratic country and we will read Hanuman Chalisa here even without permission.
