Nawada (Bihar) [India], Mar. 30 (NT): After communal violence flawed Ram Navami celebrations in Bihar, another Communal-clash came to blows as reported in the state on Friday after miscreants vandalized a Hanuman idol in Nawada.

The so-called Communal clash erupted on Friday between two communities after an idol of Lord Hanuman was vandalized by miscreants.

However, the situation came under control after heavy security personnel were deployed in the area.

To bring the agitators and crowd under control, the police had to fire several rounds in the air.

Some youths attacked the media, by damaging cameras and mikes of some media persons.

The District Magistrate of Nawada, Kaushal Kumar said that the two communities came face to face after an idol was vandalized by some troublemakers.

"It was a matter of an idol being vandalised by some miscreants, which led to the communities coming face-to-face; the situation is now under control," he said.

In recent times, tension gripped Bihar after communal violence erupted in a number of parts of the states, including Bhagalpur and Aurangabad.

On Thursday, nearly 50 people, including two local BJP workers, were held in Samastipur and Nalanda districts in links with communal clashes that erupted there in the last couple of days as India T.V. reported.
