Bollywood actor Mac Mohan, who doesn't know today, is always in the news for something or the other. That's where he's celebrating his birthday today. Let us tell you that Mac Mohan was born in Karachi, British India. Mohan had come to Bombay to become a cricketer but joined theatre and became a Bollywood actor.  He learned to act at the Filmalaya School of Acting in Bombay.

Mac Mohan started his Hindi film career as an assistant with director Chetan Anand before making his debut as an actor in his 1964 film, Reality. His last appearance was in a guest role in Atithi Tum Kab Hogi. Apart from Hindi films, he also acted in Bhojpuri, Gujarati, Haryanvi, Marathi, Punjabi, and Sindhi films. He had communicated in almost all Indian languages except Odia as well as English, Russian and Spanish films. He is the only actor whose real name "Mac" was used as his character's name in many films.

In November 2009, the day before Ashwini Dhir's Atisha tum kab jaage started shooting. Mac Mohan was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Andheri, Mumbai after his health deteriorated. He had a tumor in his right lung, which developed into lung cancer, and finally died on May 10, 2010, at the age of 72. The Asian Academy of Film and Television held a special prayer meeting at Noida Film City on May 14. On the same day, a prayer meeting was also held at Ajivasan Hall for family and friends, and Amitabh Bachchan's people, one of his oldest boys, attended a prayer meeting to pay his respects.
