Manoj Kumar, who once identified himself as a patriot in the industry, has a birthday today. Today Manoj Kumar is celebrating his 83rd birthday. He has done many hit, superhit films in Bollywood due to which he is still inhabited in millions of hearts. He was known for doing patriotic films in the industry. He was born on 24 July 1937. His real name was Harikishan Giri Goswami. In his childhood, Manoj had seen the film Shabnam starring Dilip Kumar and had dreamed of becoming an actor since seeing this film. He fulfilled his dream with determination. He completed his undergraduate education from the famous Hindu college in Delhi and after that he sought his whereabouts in Mumbai, dreaming of becoming an actor.

He started his cine career here with the film Fashion, released in the year 1957. He played a very small character in this film. In 1965, he had done the film Shaheed based on the life of Bhagat Singh and before this film, Manoj Kumar came to meet Bhagat Singh's mother. This film was a super hit. After this film, he did many patriotic films which became super hits. His character's name in most films was Bharat. Due to this, people started calling him Bharat Kumar. Not only this, Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri was also among Manoj Kumar's admirers. After the Indo-Pak war of 1965, Lal Bahadur had asked Manoj to make a film on Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, and after that Manoj made the film Upkaar.

He included in his hit films Woh Kaun Thi, Shaheed, Hariyali Aur Rasta, Himalaya Ki Gaud Mein, Gumnaam, Patthar Sanam, Upkaar, Kranti, Roti Kapad Aur Makaan, Purab Aur Paschim which are still liked today. At the moment, wishes to Manoj Kumar on our behalf.
