Delhi's left-arm fast bowler Pradeep Sangwan is celebrating his 30th birthday today. He is the first Indian cricketer to be charged in the doping case and has been ban. The ban was imposed on Pradeep on 18 July 2013, which has now been lifted. He is a resident of Najafgarh in Delhi and was part of Kolkata Knight Riders when he was 20 years old.

It is said that in the year 2012, he played two matches in the IPL against Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad, but he did not get a single wicket in both the matches. He has also played for Delhi in domestic cricket and has taken 123 wickets in 38 domestic matches. He also played a key role in the Under-19 World Cup win in 2008 and he suffered a shoulder injury during the IPL due to which he went to the UK for surgery, while he was not available to talk about doping.

After the ban on doping was lifted, Pradeep spoke to the media and said that during the ban, "I was not allowed to practice or use any facility of the State Cricket Association. Now I can practice with the Ranji team. It was painful to stay away from the game but I got support from all sides. In the last 18 months, I got rid of the shoulder problem by doing surgery in the UK and since then I was slowly recovering from this problem."
