He graduated from Atmaram Sanatan Dharma College, Delhi University, and then studied at the Indian Institute of Film and Television. After studying, he came to Mumbai and after coming to Mumbai, he started auditioning. Rajkummar Rao got his first break in Bollywood with the film 'Rann'.
