Bollywood's famous actress Roopa Ganguly has turned 54 years old today. She has become famous by playing the role of Draupadi in the TV show Mahabharata. She was born on 25 November 1966 in Kalyani, Kolkata. Roopa has worked in Hindi as well as Bengali TV and cinema. She married mechanical engineer Dhurba Mukherjee in 1992 however, both divorced in 2006.

After the divorce, Roopa has also been in a live-in relationship with singer Dibyendu, who is 13 years younger than her but soon the two separated. Roopa has also tried suicide 3 times. This was revealed by her in the reality show 'Sach Ka Saamna'. She said, 'After marriage, she gave up acting and shifted to Kolkata with her husband. But they were not given money for everyday expenses. For this reason, she also tried to get suicide to get rid of this daily quarrel.'

Significantly, in the year 2006, Dhruv and Roopa got divorced. During an interview, Roopa said, 'Dhruv used to feel insured about her actress status'. Dhrub and Roopa have a son named Akash, who was born in 1997. Roopa was also in a live-in relationship with singer lover Dibyendu, who was 13 years younger than her and they were discussed a lot at the time.
