Seema Biswas, a veteran Bollywood actress whom we also know as Phoolan Devi is celebrating her birthday today. Actress Seema has tremendous acting skills and due to this, she is still ruling the hearts of the people. She was born on 14th January 1965 in Nalbari district of Assam. Actress Seema Biswas, who has excelled in films like ' Bandit Queen ', ' Vivah', 'Khamoshi', ' Water ', ' Ek Hasina Thi ', is counted among the talented actresses in the country.

Shekhar Kapoor's film ' Bandit Queen ', built on the life of Phoolan Devi, brought the headlines overnight to the character of Phoolan. She was also conferred with the National Award for the film based on real-life and true events. Seema has created a different image in the Bollywood industry. Bandit Queen was seen by people from a glamour perspective, while it was based on criminal background. The film shows many difficult circumstances like the rape of Phoolan Devi.

Seema Biswas also won the film award for Bandit Queen. She also won the Star Screen Award for the best-supporting actress of the 1996 film ' Khamoshi '. In the year 2001, the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award was also given to Seema for the role of Phoolan Devi. After that, she did not bind themselves to the same kind of background but charmed the audience with different kinds of characters.
