Shakti Kapoor, who has turned 70, is celebrating his birthday today. Shakti Kapoor has worked in many hit films in his career which you all must have seen. Shakti Kapoor is active in films till date and apart from him, his son and daughter Shraddha Kapoor are also active in films. Shakti Kapoor was born in a Punjabi family and very few people know that his real name of Shakti Kapoor is Sunil Sikander Kapoor. Yes, and Shakti Kapoor got recognition from Sanjay Dutt's debut film Rocky.

After this film, he changed his name to Shakti Kapoor and gave many hit films one after other. Shakti Kapoor's father Sikander Lal Kapoor had a tailor shop in Delhi and his mother Sushila was a housewife. During his childhood, Shakti had to face a lot of financial problems. In the year 2003, Shakti Kapoor said in an interview that 'I was never interested in studies. I used to get very less marks in the exam. I always made up my mind. I was expelled from three schools Holy Child, Frank Anthony Public School and Salwan Public School.'

Shakti Kapoor further told 'His father wanted to save money and his father wanted him to handle his family business only.' Shakti Kapoor said, 'I started doing travel business. Not only this, I used to go on long drives in his Fiat car without my father's permission. We used to have a lot of fights because of this.'

If we talk about personal life, Shakti Kapoor was married to Shivangi Kolhapure and you know Shivangi is the sister of actress Padmini Kolhapure. Shakti is known for his villainous and comedic roles in Hindi films and the actor has acted in over 200 films. For now, we wish Shakti a very happy birthday.
