Today is the birthday of former Bollywood actress Twinkle Khanna. Twinkle acted in a few films in Bollywood and then became a writer. Twinkle did not become famous in Bollywood but married Bollywood Khiladi Kumar i.e. Akshay Kumar and then always got into the limelight. Twinkle has made headlines several times so far. It was only recently that she revealed her bad experience with a director. She had said that a director had asked her to do a popular scene in Ram Teri Ganga Mali with a waterfall-like Mandakini but she refused after which the director never spoke to her nor cast her in any other film.
In an interview recently, Twinkle said, 'I was wearing a white kurta and preparing for a rain song and the director who came to me wearing a shawl was imitating Guru Dutt, and he said to me, "What would you say if I told you to give a scene like Mandakini?" I said, "I will say two things." The first thing I will say is no and secondly, you are not Raj Kapoor. After that, the director never spoke to me again, nor did he take me back to any of his films, it was a terrible experience, but someone had to take a stand.'
Twinkle did a rain song at the film Mela which was directed by Dharmesh Darshan who was famous for wearing shawls. However, Mela was a flop film which also starred Aamir Khan and Faisal Khan. Twinkle acted in very few films after this film and She was always called a flop actress. Twinkle is currently a writer and a mother of two.
