Vikram Bhatt (born January 27, 1969) is a film director, producer, screenwriter, and actor from India. He is most known for directing the Raaz film series, an Indian horror series produced by Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt, and for directing Ghulam (1999), a film directed by Mukesh Bhatt and starring Aamir Khan and Rani Mukherji. He was nominated for a Filmfare Award for Best Director for both of these.

Bhatt is the grandson of Indian film pioneer Vijay Bhatt from Gujarat, Palitana, and the son of cinematographer Pravin Bhatt. He formerly served as the creative director of ASA Productions and Enterprises until 2014, when he left.

Bhatt began his career in 1982, at the age of 14, in Mukul Anand's first film, Kanoon Kya Karega. Bhatt also worked as Mukul Anand's chief assistant on the Agneepath sets. This film became a cult classic despite not doing well at the box office.

After that, Bhatt worked for two and a half years with filmmaker Shekhar Kapur, and then for two years with director Mahesh Bhatt. On the sets of several hit films, including Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke and Junoon, he worked as an assistant director.

Mukesh Bhatt produced his first film, Jaanam, which launched his career as a director. His first four films did not do well at the box office; Fareb was his first successful directing endeavour. Following that, he had a streak of hit films, including Ghulam, Kasoor, Raaz, and Awara Paagal Deewana.

He followed Awara Paagal Deewana with flops such as Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage, Deewane Huye Paagal, and Ankahee. Bhatt returned to the horror genre in 2008, delivering three films that were box office successes: 1920, Shaapit, and Haunted - 3D. With his film Haunted - 3D in 2010, Bhatt pioneered the use of stereoscopic 3D in India. The film was released in May 2011 and quickly became the biggest-grossing Hindi horror film of all time, grossing Rs. 270 million at the box office.
