Zaira Wasim, who has given the best films in Bollywood, is celebrating her 21st birthday today. However, Zaira Wasim is no longer an actress and has quit acting and explained the reason behind it to Religion. Zaira Wasim was born on October 23, 2000, in Srinagar and belongs to a Muslim family. Her father Zahid Wasim is an executive manager in Srinagar and her mother Zarka Wasim is a teacher. Zaira completed her 10th standard from St. Paul's International Academy Sonar Bagh.

She scored 92 per cent marks in the 10th standard. Talking about Zaira's career, she started her career at an early age. However, she got recognition from the film 'Dangal.' Zaira made her Bollywood debut when she grew up with the same film. The actress played wrestler Geeta Phogat in the film. 'Dangal' proved to be a super hit and Zaira's work in the film was well-received. Zaira won the Best Actress award for Dangal. Zaira then worked with Priyanka Chopra in the film 'The Sky is Pink' and after the shooting of the film, Zaira announced to leave the film industry.

Announcing her departure from the film industry, Zaira wrote on social media, 'She is not happy with her work because it's lifting her from her faith.' At the same time, she further wrote, 'Being an actress, she is moving away from Islam. That is why she is leaving the film industry.' Well after moving away from the industry, Zaira posted a photo in which she was seen in a burqa. Happy birthday to her on our behalf for the time being.
