International Museum Day is celebrated every year on 18th May. On May 18, 1983, the United Nations decided to celebrate International Museum Day, recognizing the speciality and importance of the museum. The basic objective was to create public awareness about museums and their activities in the public public. To know the importance of this day, Meerut also has a Martyrs' Memorial, also known as kranti gatha.

Martyrs' Memorial of Meerut reminds us of revolution: According to reports, the martyr's memorial is situated on Malroad in Meerut. The monument also has a number of archaeological remains. Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's dress, remains found at the time of excavation in Hastinapur, remains from Baghpat and surrounding areas, which are kept in the museum.

Announcement of construction of museum in Hastinapur: The Central Government has also announced to set up a museum in Hastinapur. The archaeological remains found in the Archaeological Survey of India are being maintained in the ASI office.
