Tulsidas Jayanti is celebrated every year. This year's Tulsi Das Jayanti is on August 7. Tulsi Das is a social reformer, a Rama devotee, a poet and a saint. He was born in Vikrami Samvat in 1589 at Rajapur in The Banda district of Uttar Pradesh. His mother's name was Hulsi and his father's name was Attaram Dubey. He had received education from his guru Narharidas and was given a new name Rambola along with his teaching of Tulsidas. His parents are said to have died after a few years of their birth and after their parents passed away, they spent their lives in holy places like Ayodhya, Chitrakoot and Kashi.
Tulsi das was a disciple of Acharya Ramanand and after the death of Tulsidas Ji's mother and father, Tulsi das wandered around. It is said that as soon as he wandered, he was gifted with the knowledge of Sagun Kavidhara and Tulsidas created the Ramayana composed by Valmiki in the folk language period and called it Ramacharitamanas. Tulsi Das was then reclaimed by the Ramacharitamanas granth. Tulsi Das Ji was a writer of Ramacharitamanas as well as a writer.
He was a famous poet of the devotional Sagun Kavidhara and was a supporter of Tulsidas, the uprising of the idol of God, chanting the rosary of God and worshipping the incarnations of God. At the same time, he had also composed several texts. All of them include Ramacharitamanas, Kavitavali, Vinayacharta, Janakimangal, Hanuman Chalisa, Barva Ramayana.
