New Delhi: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season can start in March-April. Mega auction for this is also going to be held in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13. Two new teams are also going to be added in this season of IPL, which will be Ahmedabad and Lucknow. Both the teams have to retain their 3-3 players. The BCCI has fixed January 22 as the last date for this.

However, both teams have prepared their 3-3 player retain, but the official announcement has not been made so far. According to the sports website, Ahmedabad has already selected three of its players. The 3 players are star all-rounder Hardik Pandya, opener Shubman Gill and Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan. Hardik can be given the command of the team. Hardik was earlier playing for Mumbai Indians (MI), Rashid Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Shubman Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

The Ahmedabad franchise has reportedly decided to give Hardik and Rashid an equal amount of Rs 15-15 crore. While Shubman Gill will be given 7 crores. While as per rules, only Rs. 15, 11 and Rs. 7 crores can be given on retaining three players. Tell us that the Ahmedabad franchise has been bought by foreign company CVC Group with a bid of Rs 5625 crore.
