New Delhi: Team India all-rounder Hardik Pandya has clarified the controversy over the seizure of his watch at Mumbai airport. Hardik Pandya tweeted on Tuesday morning that he himself handed over his watch to customs officials while he was returning from Dubai. Hardik has dismissed all other allegations and asked customs officials to hand over the necessary documents.

Pandya clarified that the watch is not worth Rs 5 crore, as is being claimed on social media. He said the watch is worth Rs 1.5 crore. Hardik Pandya tweeted, 'On the morning of November 15, when I was returning from Dubai, I went to the customs counter at Mumbai airport myself after taking my bag and handed over all the items brought from there to the department and paid customs duty. Things are being spread wrongly on social media, I want to say the right thing about all these things'.

Hardik further wrote, 'During the return of the goods I bought from Dubai, I myself gave full information to the department and was ready to pay customs duty. The customs department has asked for all the necessary documents that we are giving. Customs departments are currently calculating the duty, which I am ready to fill. And the watch is worth Rs 1.5 crore, not Rs 5 crore, and not the kind of news that is going on.
