The world's largest religious program is Kumbh Mela. It is held every 12th year in the country at Haridwar, Prayagraj, Ujjain, and Nashik. However, for the first time in the history of Kumbh Mela, it will be held in Haridwar in the 11th year instead of 12 years. The Kumbh Mela in 2022 is going to be in Haridwar this year as the planets are running.

So, this time, Kumbh is being held in the 11th year. After a period of 83 years, this year, this opportunity is coming. Earlier, such incidents took place in the years 1760, 1885, and 1938. This year, the Kumbh Mela is being started from Makar Sankranti on 14th January.

The same Kumbh Mela is one of the most auspicious and greatest rituals of Hindus. According to Hindu mythological stories, this kind of tradition started after the sea churn when the drops of nectar were scattered in 12 places, including the Mridulok. They say that there was a tug-of-war between the Lord and the Danavs for this nectar urn. This year, the mega event is going to start from 14th January and will continue till April 2021. It is expected that lakhs of devotees will gather to dive into the holy Ganga due to Kumbh Mela.
