Amritsar: Punjab Congress in-charge Harish Rawat's big statement has surfaced amidst the rebellious fever of Captain Amarinder Singh. Harish Rawat has said that the captain should not be a helper of the anti-farmer BJP. Rawat further said that it is time to stand with Sonia Gandhi. Harish Rawat claimed that Congress made Amarinder Singh CM twice and respected him a lot. Rawat further said that an attempt was also made to persuade Amarinder by calling twice.

Harish Rawat said the Captain's recent statements must have been influenced by someone. Harish Rawat said there is no reality that Congress has insulted Amarinder Singh. In fact, yesterday Amarinder Singh made it clear that he would not go to the BJP but would not remain in the Congress, because he could not tolerate the insult he had suffered. Rawat further said that the things that Captain Amarinder Singh has said should be considered back.

On the other hand, there is speculation that Amarinder Singh may form his own party. According to sources, Amarinder Singh will form a new party within the next 15 days. About a dozen Congress leaders are also in touch with him. Sources also said that the captain's new party will be named Punjab Vikas Party and its main objective will be to defeat Sidhu.
