Dehradun: After the defeat in the Uttarakhand assembly elections, there has been a stir within the state Congress. Senior party leaders are blaming each other for defeat, while the rebellious attitude of many leaders is also coming out in the open. After being accused of selling the post and party ticket, senior Congress leader and former CM Harish Rawat said that the Congress party should expel me. He said that all the charges against him are serious. Harish Rawat said that when such allegations are being made by his supporters, then the issue becomes even more serious. Rawat said that the party can expel him for these charges.

The same Harish Rawat tweeted on the allegations of Ranjeet Rawat saying, "The allegation of selling the post and party ticket is very serious and if that allegation is being leveled against a person who has been the CM, who is the party's chief minister. Has been the state president, who has been the general secretary of the party and is a member of the Congress Working Committee and the person making the accusation should also be a person in a serious position and the allegations made by that person are publicized by the person in a very important position and his supporters- This allegation becomes even more serious if it is being aired. This charge has been leveled against me.

I pray to God that the Congress party expels me from the party in light of the allegations leveled against me.  There is a proper celebration of summons, the evil of Holika Dahan and Harish Rawat should also be burnt by Congress in this Holika. The same day earlier, Uttarakhand Congress Working President Ranjit Rawat had accused Harish Rawat of distributing tickets and posts in the party by taking money. Ranjeet Rawat had accused former CM Harish Rawat of saying that he had contested the 2017 elections from Ramnagar only on Harish Rawat's speech, but he made it his work land. He said that the witness of this fact is also the President of Congress Screening Committee, Avinash Pandey, before whom he had said this.
