Today is the birth anniversary of the popular Hindi poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan. Harivansh Rai was born on November 27, 1907, in a Kayastha family in Babupatti village in Pratapgarh district of UP, the country's largest state. Harivansh Rai Bachchan was first married to Shyama in 1926 at the age of 19, who died of TB. Five years after Shyama's death, the second marriage took place with Teji Bachchan, who was associated with theatre and singing. Teji and Harivansh had two sons Amitabh Bachchan and Ajitabh Bachchan. Ajitabh has not been in the news for a long time but Amitabh Bachchan, who has become the superstar of the century, is still active in the television world right from the film industry. His father has also contributed greatly in taking Amitabh's career to the heights of success.

Harivansh Rai Bachchan wrote many timeless works. The popular poet who received the Sahitya Akademi, Padma Bhushan award, wrote a story 'Agneepath'. Hardly people would know that the 1990 superhit movie 'Agneepath' is based on the story of Harivansh Rai Bachchan. This movie brought Amitabh Bachchan to heights and its dialogues became such a hit that even today they are repeated frequently. Amitabh gained great popularity by playing Vijay Dinanath Chauhan. Amitabh's long film career has had many famous dialogues but no one has ever been able to match Amitabh's dialogues. The style and voice in which Amitabh said, 'Full name- Vijay Dinanath Chauhan, father's name- Dinanath Chauhan, mother's name- Suhasini Chauhan, village Mandwa, Umar-36 years.' How can anyone forget this?

Apart from this, the story is not complete if we do not talk about Harivansh Rai Bachchan's classic creation 'Madhushala'. The verses of this poem are still memorized by literary lovers. It is said that Harivansh was 27-28 years old when he grafted this composition. Amitabh Bachchan himself has added to its reputation by rhythmically composing it in his voice. In one of his interviews, Amitabh Bachchan had told that 'whenever I find myself in trouble or despair, I start humming the lines of the Madhushala'.
