Panipat: A sensational case has come to light from Rishpur village in Riyana. A woman was imprisoned by her husband in the toilet for more than a year. On receiving information about the case, the Women Safety and Child Marriage Prohibition Officer Rajni Gupta along with her team rescued the victim.

Rajni Gupta told the media that "I was informed that a woman has been in the toilet for more than a year. This fact came out when I reached there with my team. The woman seems to have eaten nothing for a long time. It is being said that she is mentally ill, but this is not true. Talking to the woman did not make me feel that she is mentally unstable". Rajni Gupta said that "We cannot confirm her mental health, but she was definitely locked in the toilet".

She said that "We took the victim out and washed her hair. A complaint has been lodged with the police. Police will take action accordingly. The victim's husband Naresh claims that she is mentally ill. We ask her to sit outside, but she does not sit there. We took her to the doctors but there was no improvement in her health. Police have filed a complaint in this regard". A police officer said that We have lodged a complaint and we will take action after investigation. In addition, we will consult the doctor and move forward".
