NEW DELHI: Indian Hockey has congratulated drag-flicker Harmanpreet Singh on Friday for completing 100 international matches. Harmanpreet achieved the feat when he entered the semifinals of the FIH Men's Series against Japan on Friday.

Harmanpreet had made his international debut in the Test series against Japan in Odisha in May 2015. However, his best performance was in the 2016 Champions Trophy held in London, where the Indian team won a silver medal. The world had to know the strength of Harmanpreet from this competition. His strong drag-flick gave him the FIH Rising Player of the Tournament award in the FIH Champions Trophy. This performance gave him a place in the Indian team at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
