On this day, women, after listening to the story, keep a fast and remain fast throughout the day. Then the next day the fast is opened in the morning. On this day, a clay statue of Gauri-Shankar is made, which is worshiped. It is said that during worshiping, Goddess Parvati gets great benefit by offering all the items of honey. Along with this, Bhajan-Kirtan is also done at night on this day. Apart from this, every desire is fulfilled by performing Jagran for three times. It is believed that by doing this, Shiv Shankar is pleased. In fact, green color has special significance on the occasion of Hatalika Teej and on this day women wear green bangles and sarees because it is auspicious.
