According to media reports, a jury of 7 men and 5 women in the New York Supreme Court reached the verdict after deliberating for more than 26 hours for about 5 days, after which Weinstein was detained.

On the first charge, the jury convicted first-degree criminal sex act in 2006 of forcing former assistant Miriam Haley into Weinstein's production company to perform oral sex. According to reports, the filmmaker can be imprisoned for a minimum of five or a maximum of 25 years. On the second charge, Weinstein was found guilty of raping a woman in a New York hotel room in 2013. In this regard, they can be sentenced to a maximum of four years. The court has reserved the declaration of sentence on the verdict for the next date. Weinstein still has to present his case for hearing the allegations of sexual misconduct and rape in Los Angeles.
