Harvey Weinstein faced prosecution for three more sexual crimes

Harvey Weinstein, formerly named among one of the most powerful people in the film industry was uncovered by many women when they revealed about the sexual assault they have faced. The producer has faced trial for three more sexual crime on Monday, as per the statement of Cyrus R. Vance Jr., Manhattan District Attorney.

Meanwhile, the dishonoured was found not guilty of the charges for which he was inducted in June. Then he was accused of sexual assault and rape case of two women. The incidents were of 2013 and 2004.

The new allegations are of a forcible sexual act against a woman in 2006 and two other sexual assaults, Vance reported. If the producer would found guilty in cases then can face a minimum sentence of 10 years which have maximum punishment as life imprisonment.

Benjamin Brafman, Weinstein’s attorney denied the charges and claimed that “Mr Weinstein maintains that all of these allegations are false and he expects to be fully vindicated,”. “Furthermore, to charge Mr Weinstein as a predator when the interactions were each consensual is simply not justified”, he added further.

Notably, under the #MeToo movement more than 40 women who are known faces of the film industry have revealed the sexual assaults incident that was done by the disgraced person. The victims include Ashley Judd, Mimi Haleyi(Weinstein Production Assistant), Heather Kerr(actress), Natassia Malthe(Norwegian Model and actress), Louisette Geiss(actress well known for her role in Angel, Two and a Half Man), Angie Everhart(actress), Gwyneth Paltrow(actress), Angelina Jolie(actress) and many more. Following the accusations Weinstein was thrashed out of Weinstein Company. The company was then filed for bankruptcy and sold off.
