New Delhi: Union Home Minister and BJP National President Amit Shah have appealed to the people to vote. Shah appealed to the people of Haryana and asked them to vote for the motion. He said, "Casteism, familism and corruption are the biggest inhibitors for the development of Virbhoomi Haryana. Your one vote for development and nationalism will keep Haryana on the path of progress".

"All my brothers and sisters from Haryana vote before taking refreshment and participate in the development journey of the state. Shah also appealed to the people of Maharashtra to vote to maintain an honest government. He said, 'Your one vote is important for choosing the government which realizes Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's dream of Swaraj as the basis of development and poor welfare. I appeal to my brothers and sisters in Maharashtra to vote for maintaining a stable and honest government in the state".

Earlier, PM Modi also appealed people to vote. Regarding the Haryana Assembly elections, the Prime Minister tweeted, "Today is the voting day for the Haryana Assembly elections. I request all voters to cast their vote and participate in this festival of democracy". The Prime Minister appealed to the people of Maharashtra to vote by tweeting in Marathi. He said, "Today the people of Maharashtra are going to decide who they should give a chance to run the government for the next five years. Therefore, I appeal to all my brothers and sisters and young friends of Maharashtra to enrich this celebration of democracy by voting in record numbers today".
