Chandigarh: Today the Manohar Lal Khattar government of the state of Haryana presented a budget of Rs 1.55 lakh crore for the financial year 2021-22. The government said that special emphasis has been laid on health, agriculture, and infrastructure sectors in the budget. CM Manohar Lal Khattar presented his second budget in the state assembly. Khattar also holds charge of the Finance Ministry. Due to this, he said that both Pinjore and Gurugram will be developed under Film City. Manohar Khattar has not proposed any new tax in the budget prospects. The budget for the financial year 2021-22 has been increased to Rs 1,55,645 crore. This is 13 percent more than the budget of Rs 1,37,738 crore in the last financial year.

The budget expenditure is 25 percent or Rs 38,718 crore capital expenditure and 75 percent or Rs 1,16,927 crore revenue expenditure. Manohar Lal Khattar said that the coronavirus crisis has posed extraordinary challenges and has 'taught us many lessons.' He said, "It is important that in the budget especially during this danger, those sectors should be given priority, which is necessary for the revival of the economy. We have placed health, agriculture, and infrastructure in priority areas.''

He said that his government will continue supporting the donors for the economic growth of Haryana. In the budget, an expenditure of Rs 6,110 crore has been proposed for sectors. This is 20.9 percent higher than the expenditure of Rs 5,052 crore in 2020-21. Of this, Rs 2,998 crore has been set aside for agriculture and farmers welfare, Rs 489 crore for horticulture, Rs 1,225 crore for animal husbandry and dairy, Rs 125 crore for fisheries, and Rs 1,274 crore for cooperatives.
