Chandigarh: Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala, who arrived in Rewari to unveil the statue of Babasaheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar on his 130th birth anniversary amid ever increasing corona cases in Haryana and the return of workers, said a lockdown will not be imposed in Haryana. In such a situation, the workers need not leave Haryana, they should work carefree.

He said night curfew has also been imposed at the request of neighbouring states. Haryana is in a better condition than the rest of the States. The government has geared up to deal with the second wave of corona. On the question of arrest of farmer leaders even before the programme which begins at 12 o'clock, Chautala said that Babasaheb has given everyone the right to speak, but now strict action will be taken against those who obstruct them. The programme at Jhabua village in Bawal had to be cancelled a day earlier due to a warning of protest from farmers.

On the question of setting up classes for children from class I to VIII even after the government's order, Chautala said that along with future grooming, there is a need to be sensitive to the health of children. It has been decided to close schools upto class VIII after 160 children were found positive simultaneously in Sainik School. The decision has to be accepted by all. Strict action will be taken against anyone who takes any precautions.
