New Delhi: According to a recent report, the Electricity Distribution Corporation (UHBVN) in Haryana last night investigated electricity connections in the Chambers of Advocates located in the district court and claimed that several illegal connections were allegedly found in it. UHBVN Executive Engineer Jesse Sharma informed that on the basis of information and complaint, a team of officials of Electricity Corporation investigated the Chambers of Lawyers on Friday evening. The action continued till 12 o'clock at night.

According to sources, Sharma claimed that the power officials seriously examined the Chambers, in which a large number of disturbances were found. During the investigation, theft of electricity was found in about 156 chambers, which was fined Rs 20 lakh.

He further said that the notice is going to be given to the advocates concerned about the illegal connection. Gautam said that the information of the entire case has been given to the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana, High Court, Inspecting Judge and Chief Minister. He said that here he came to know that DC is trying to mislead the government and high officials by presenting false facts. Till the time the DC and SDM are not supported, their picketing will continue. If there is a need, there will be calls for demonstrations in other districts of the state. Hundreds of lawyers including Dinesh Tyagi, Sanjeev Gupta, Subhash Chugh, Pradeep Harit, Ranvir Parashar were present on the occasion.
