Haryana government seeks details of revenue receipts and expenditure

CAG has summoned the details of revenue receipts and expenditure from the Haryana government in accordance with the budget estimates for the financial year 2019-20. The Accountant General of Audit has written a letter to the Additional Chief Secretary of the Finance Department to provide these details soon. After this, the Finance Department has instructed to send the report to all the Heads of Departments in action. The CAG has to prepare a detailed study report for the financial year ending on 31 March every year.

CAG explains in detail the budget estimate of every department, how much amount was spent, how much revenue receipts came as a result of the estimate, what went wrong in the departments and how much the government lost revenue. The government has to send budget estimates and expenditure reports to the CAG by every financial year by October, but most of the government departments of the state have not sent it yet, which made the situation inadequate for the finance department.

Accountant General of Audit Haryana had to write a letter to the Finance Department. Whose additional chief secretary of the finance department has taken strict note. He has instructed all the Heads of Departments to send the complete records of the action taken on the basis of budget demand and designation when the estimated budget was received, expenses delayed and revenue receipts not submitted on time. The Finance Department has also apprised the Additional Chief Secretaries of all the departments.
