Chandigarh: Pollution levels increase every year at the time of harvesting of Kharif crops. The atmosphere in Delhi-NCR and its surrounding cities becomes suffocating. Cases of stubble burning in the fields are also reported from Haryana every year. However, this time the Manohar Lal Khattar government is already alert. During this time many big decisions are also being taken regarding stubble management.

This time, private procurement of stubble will be done from farmers in Haryana. In fact, this time the traders had a problem with dry fodder. In such a situation, this time the government has instructed private companies to buy stubble. In this, the highest amount of 6 thousand rupees will be given on Basmati stubble. At the same time, 4 to 5 thousand rupees will be given on Parmal paddy stubble. Farmer Karam Singh Kalyan says that this is a golden opportunity for farmers to earn well after the private procurement of stubble starts. Earlier, stubble had to be burnt, due to which the level of pollution used to increase, and there was no profit. Now this stubble will be sold for 5-6 thousand rupees.

Surendra Tyagi, a farmer who brought paddy to Tyagimandi, says that it is very beneficial for the farmers. Earlier, all the blame for stubble burning was put on the farmers. On the contrary, the government also used to collect fines for stubble burning. Farmers will now get money if private companies buy stubble.
