Jind: Four friends were killed on the spot in a road accident in the Jind district of Haryana on Tuesday morning when a truck and a bike collided. Police who reached the spot after receiving information about the incident has sent the bodies for postmortem and started investigating the accident. According to police information, four youths riding bikes were killed in a head-on collision between a truck and a bike in front of Safido Government College in Jind district.

Police said, the driver abandoned the truck on the spot and fled after the accident. The four deceased worked as welding in the hatchery. He said, police have kept the bodies of the four deceased in the mortuary of the hospital for postmortem and seized the truck, and started investigating the case.

Police said the deceased has been identified as Ashok (37), Shubham (18), Sumit (19), and Manish (21). The four were on their way to work in the morning when a speeding truck hit their bike. He said the driver abandoned the truck on the spot and fled after the accident. Police are on the lookout for the absconding truck driver.
