Educational Qualification:-
As per the notification issued by the HSSC, candidates should have a graduation degree from any recognized university or institution to apply for the post of Sub Inspector. In addition, the result of 10th must-have Hindi or Sanskrit subject.

Physical Qualifications:-
The height of male candidates should be 170 cm. The height of the same woman candidates has been fixed at 158 cm and that of the woman candidate covered under reservation is 156 cm. The chest of male candidates should be 83 to 87 cm while the chest of candidates covered under reservation has been sought from 81 to 85 cm.  In the race, male candidates will have to run 2.5 km in 12 minutes. The same female candidates will have to run 1 kilometer in 6 minutes.
