Chandigarh: Thieves broke into a jeweller's shop in Tohana town of Fatehabad, Haryana and took away goods worth Rs. 20 lakh. To avoid CCTV in the shop, the thieves used the way of the roof and entered the shop with the help of a gas cutter and cut the vault (safe) and carried out this whole theft incident.

When Ravi Kumar, the owner of Jewelers Shop, lifted the shutter of the shop and reached inside, his senses flew away. Ravi said that the locker kept in the shop was found cut from the gas cutter and a total of Rs 20 lakh worth of goods including gold, silver and cash is missing from there. Ravi immediately informed the police administration about the incident. Police reached the spot and took stock. Tohana DSP Biram Singh himself reached the spot.

The DSP said, "I myself have inspected the incident. The FSL team has been called to the spot. The FSL team will investigate the incident and further action will be taken in the matter." DSP Biram Singh said that there is no use of CCTV on the front in the shop as the thieves entered inside through the roof. The DVR of the thief shop has also been taken along. At present, the police is engaged in investigating the entire incident by taking a written complaint. The thieves will be caught soon.
