New Delhi: Veteran BJP leader and former Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy has strongly criticised Russian President Vladimir Putin's statement that China has no intention of attacking India and only occasionally do Chinese troops comes to Indian territory for exercises.

In a tweet, the BJP leader questioned whether India is a Dharamshala in the eyes of Putin. After this again we will get to hear that 'No one has come.' He wrote in his tweet that, 'Putin has assured back to the Indian representatives in Moscow that China has no intention of attacking India. In Indian territory only 'here and there,' the Chinese army will come for 'exercise'. Is India a Dharamshala in the eyes of Putin? Are we going to hear 'No one has come' again?'

Meanwhile, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday called upon army commanders that the preparedness for army operations should always be of high standard amid the ongoing border dispute with China in eastern Ladakh. Speaking at his conference as part of the army commanders' top-level biennial event, Rajnath Singh reiterated the trust of billions of citizens in the Indian Army, one of the most trusted and inspiring organisations in the country. The five-day conference, which began on Monday, will be held here till November 11.
