Tanya Sharma on Tuesday turned 21 and celebrates her birthday in a entirely different way. Tanya is a television actress who is seen as Meera in Saath Nibhana Saathiya.

Tanya made her birthday special by spending time with the poor and teaching them English. She visited an academy in Mumbai where children are given free education. Tanya explained on this note, "I wanted to do something special on my 21st birthday. So I decided to celebrate it with unfortunate ones, who only need love. I visited this small academy here. I got emotional when I saw kids there."

"I played with them and gifted the kids some books, school bags, tiffin and pencil boxes. Also I became their English teacher for the day," she added.

For her co-stars, she is planning to throw a birthday party soon.
