Piaggio has announced that it is going to start production of his Vespa Elettrica Italy from September 2018. This is the same plant where in 1946 Vespa's first production began. Piaggio will start bookings of Vespa Elettrica from October 2018. The sale of this scooter will first begin with Europe in the US and will also start in Asia from the beginning of 2019.
Vespa Elettrica was presented during the auto expo in February 2018. The company will launch it in two variants - Standard version with a 100km range and 200km range Elettrica X. Electric Motor will be installed in Vespa Elettrica, which comes with 4.2 kWh lithium-ion battery.
