India is a country of many customs and castes and religion. Every region carries its own uniqueness and has certain things linked to them. Among all these geographical variations, there is food that has become a symbol of pride and love.

1.Rajma chawal

Rajma chawal is a dish well connected with the northern and Punjabi families. Now there is no doubt that Indian spices have added a desi touch to this dish. But Rajma beans were first grown in Mexico and were brought to India through the south-western coast.

2.Daal bhaat(Chawal)

This dish is popular all across the country, particularly in the north is daal bhaat (Dal and Rice). It was actually firstly made in Nepal from where this combination came in India through the northern regions of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh

3.Idli

South Indian dish is actually a shocker is the fact that one of the dishes from this awesome south Indian duo did not even arise in India. Idli actually started in Indonesia, where fermented food is largely used, and Arabs are thought to be the one who introduced the dish in southern coasts of India where slowly it got a makeover and became a representative of the south.

4.Gulaab Jamun

One of India’s most beloved sweet dish, which is publicly offered by Hindus and in the other cast also on specific event all across the nation as a presenting  to their deities was first made in the Mediterranean and in Persia where it was traditionally known as “Luqmat Al-Qadi”,
5.Samosa

Samosa, the all-time favourite Indian bite especially that makes it so yummy, came to our country with the Arab invaders in the tenth century. Basically, the Arabs made these samosas with meat fillings which they still do in the Middle East, but Indians somehow managed to give samosa their special desi twist by making it with spicy potato fillings.
