On Tuesday, keeping the tradition of Holi ninety years old alive in a village in Beed district of Maharashtra, people roamed the entire village by placing the 'newest son-in-law' of the village on a donkey. After this, he was put on clothes of his choice. All the residents of remote and nearby are waiting to see a donkey ride on the day of Holi in Vida village of Beed's Kej tehsil.

Angan Dethe, a resident of the village, told that this tradition was started ninety years ago by Anandrao Deshmukh, a distinguished resident of the village. It is learned from the sources that this tradition started with Anandrao's son-in-law and has been going on since then. The donkey ride starts from the central area of the village and ends at 11 am at the Hanuman temple where the people of the village donate the clothes of their choice to the ride.
