The hearing of actor Dileep's anticipatory bail petition was postponed by the Kerala High Court on Friday. The actor, who is identified as a suspect in the actress attack case, entered the plea after the Crime Branch filed a new case against him and five others for allegedly intimidating detectives investigating the actress's sexual assault. The court also instructed the police not to take any action against Dileep till Tuesday, after delaying the hearing on the plea.
Dileep, on the other hand, has filed a new plea in the trial court. In his petition, he sought that visuals of the actress attack, which were in the hands of a member of the inquiry team, be presented to the court, stressing the potential for misuse.
The court also observed that director Balachandra Kumar’s statement should be examined in detail. The crime branch registered a new case against Dileep following the revelations made by the director.
