Actor Rasik Dave, Ketki Deve’s husband is no more. The 65-year-old actor breathed his last yesterday (July 29) at around 7 pm. The actor, who died of kidney failure, was on dialysis for the last few years. Rasik is survived by his daughter, wife and son. The last rites took place this morning.
Anupamaa fame Alpana Buch is a family friend and had a chat with a media person, she said, "We have worked together in a TV show together Roop-Mard Ka Naya Swaroop where he played my husband and we have even worked in ad commecials. Apart from that, he was into Gujarati theatre and even though we haven't done a play together, we all theatre actors know each other very well and we are like one huge family."
The actress is disheartened by the news and sharing about Dave's medical situation, Alpana said, "He had kidney problem for the past 4 to 5 years and was on dialysis too. But he still balanced it all very well and was always joyful. Even when I went for his funeral today, I found that he had very calmly departed. Rasik was hospitalized for last 15 days and on Thursday he got back home."
Alpana added, "I saw Ketki (Rasik's wife) today at the funeral. My heart went out for her. She is a very great woman and was looking after everything peacefully." Alpana told what he told Ketki before passing away. She said, "Ketki is presently doing a Gujarati play and before passing away, Rasik said to her that even after I am gone, you will not stop filming. You will go ahead and perform for this play."
Talking about the late actor, the person she knew, Alpana said, "Even my father knew him well. He was a fun-loving person and a great person at heart. Whenever we used to go to events or any parties, he was a foodie and we used to have a lot of masti and fun together."
