New Delhi: Several vaccines are currently being tested in the country for the covid-19 account. While stating this, Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan said that there are 4 vaccines that are in the advanced stage of pre-clinical trials. He said in Parliament on Sunday that the government is extending all possible support regarding the vaccine and there are 3 vaccines which are currently in different places of clinical trials. There are 145 vaccines in pre-clinical trials worldwide, out of which 35 are being tried. The Health Minister said in the Lok Sabha amidst discussion on covid-19 epidemic, 'We are fully supporting the development of all 30 vaccines in India. Of these, the first, second and third stages are in advanced trials. More than 4 vaccines are at the advanced stage of pre-clinical trials. The government is also closely monitoring the vaccine being developed by Hyderabad-based Hindustan Biotech International Limited and Ahmedabad-based Zydus Cadila. India Biotech's Kovaxin leads the race for the Corona Virus Vaccine in the country.

He also gave detailed information about the steps taken to prevent infection. The Union Minister said that on 30 January, the WHO warned the world about the disease. But we started working from 8 January. We released a comprehensive health advisory on January 17 and are monitoring the community. On January 30, when the first case in India came up, the officials made 162 contact tracing. The Health Minister said that 63.7 million tests have been done in the country so far, which are 'probably the highest in the world'.

The Union Minister further said, 'Even today, 40 lakh people are being kept in community eyes. There is tracing of more than 10 million people. Action has been taken of 15 lakh people at the airport. When the first case came to light in Nepal, the border of 1.6 million people was administered. From 16 March to 23 March, more than half of the states have imposed partial or full lockdown. ' He said that the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare received an amount of Rs 893.93 crore from the Prime Minister-Keyers Fund for 50,000 Made in India ventilators. The National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF) has made a provision of Rs 11,000 crore to all state governments under the National Disaster Relief Fund, in which the State Disaster Management Fund could have been utilized.
