New Delhi: Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Health Minister, launched the Intensified Mission Indradhanush 4.0 on Monday in New Delhi.

Health Minster said, a total of 170 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses have already been administered across the country.

"The Prime Minister envisioned the Indradhanush as a universal immunisation that is both accessible and justifiably received by all," Mandaviya explained. "Vaccines protect children and pregnant women from a variety of diseases. Previously, 43 percent of people were vaccinated, but that number has since risen to 76 percent. "Our Prime Minister wants a 90 percent immunisation rate," the Health Minister stated.

He advised people to vaccinate infants in order to prevent them from diseases like polio and to ensure their future. He went on to say, "One drop of polio can save a life."
