The District Consumer Forum has slapped a fine on the car company for putting a faulty part in the car. Also, this penalty is imposed on the dealer. The Consumer Forum has ordered the customer to pay one lakh rupees as compensation. According to ET news reports, Sudarshan Reddy, a Hyderabad-based resident, had bought Maruti Alto from Maruti dealer Varun Motors in July 2014. In six months, however, the car began to face problems. His engine also started sounding, the rear door lock lever broke, the car's horn broke, even the front windshield cracked. But the company tried to fix Horn instead of replacing the old Horn instead of putting a new horn.

In this case, Reddy claimed that the next day when he got to work, the engine started to sound again and Horn stopped working. He claimed that due to bad horns, he had to drive slowly and that he had an accident. According to Reddy, slow driving gave him less mileage and had to get out early at work and arrive home late at night. When Maruti Suzuki and Varun Motors failed to rectify the problem, they took shelter at the District Consumer Forum and sought compensation. On the other hand, the Maruti representative, in his reply to the court, said that Sudarshan did not file any complaint regarding Horn's failure to do so, only to say that the horn was bad.
For your information, he said he adjusted the horn and corrected it the same day and returned the car. He claimed that the complainant's assertion that Horn was not working was an accident, so the claim was false. Varun Motors, on the other hand, said that he was responsible for providing only service during the warranty period and that there was no fault of him. Horns also make the train easier to drive in heavy traffic and reduce accident chances. The company and the dealer say that Horn's failure to do the accident is unlikely to happen, so it's absolutely baseless and baseless to say.
