Bhopal: Rivers and rivulets are in spate due to heavy rains in many areas of Madhya Pradesh. Villages in low-lying areas are facing the most problem. Due to the overflowing rivers, the villages are cut off from the main road. Due to this, the people of the village have to face a lot of problems. A similar picture emerged from the village Shakti Tola in the Rewa district where a bridge over the river was crossed through a cot to take the pregnant woman to the hospital. Because, due to rain, the river is flowing over the bridge due to overflow.
A 22-year-old woman Riboza wife of Asif Khan living in Shakti Tola village of village Amwadi of Sanchi development block suffered labour pain on Wednesday, but could not take her at night due to the water flowing over the bridge of the Ghoda Pachad river on the way to the village. Then on Thursday morning, the people of the village risked their lives and took the delivery victim across the river. Here the river Ghoda Pachad is flowing three feet above the bridge built on it.
After taking Riboza across the river, an ambulance was called on 108, but after waiting for an ambulance for hours, it did not reach. Riboza was then taken to the hospital through a private vehicle. Then an ambulance was found on the way, after which Riboza was taken to Diwanganj Primary Health Center through ambulance. The villagers say that due to the negligence of the contractor, the villagers have to face huge problems every year during the rainy season.
