Patna: The rains are creating new problems for the people of Bihar Medical College and Hospital i.e. PMCH in the midst of daily recruitment of new dengue patients. Last week's Monday-Tuesday rain and then yesterday's rain has made people leave home. Talk of lower and slum area, two far away VIP areas have also witnessed waterlogging.

In Patna Municipal Corporation, Pataliputra Colony, New Pataliputra Colony, Srikrishnapuri Colony are counted as VIP areas, but the situation of water logging here is very serious. The most dire situation is that of Pataliputra Colony, where parts of it have turned into an island. There are a large number of government buildings, institutes, hospitals and schools in this area, but there is water logging for the last six days.

Sewer water has entered the houses. According to the local people, the drainage has not been cleaned properly and the situation has remained the same for the last several years. Apart from this, serious problem of waterlogging is also seen in the Congress ground of Karbighiya, Kadamkuan. This time the Patna Municipal Corporation had claimed to make strict arrangements regarding water logging before the rain, which is now proving to be hollow.
