Mumbai: Several districts of Maharashtra have been experiencing intermittent rains for the past few days. Normal life has been badly disrupted in these areas. On the one hand, people are facing two to four days of heavy waterlogging and on the other hand the water level of rivers and dams is also rising rapidly, which is further aggravating the sufferings of the people. The water level of the river Krishna in Mirj in Sangli district of Maharashtra is also rising rapidly. Due to this, the river is being monitored from the vicinity.

It may be mentioned that flood water has entered the villages on the banks of river Krishna in Sangli district. There are 300 animals trapped here. The bridge over the Krishna river has gone under water. The Narasimhawadi road from Mirage has been closed due to water logging. The NDRF team has arrived here. The team, as well as local Manpa administration officials, are taking people to safer places from water.

Speed votes are being used to evacuate people to safer places as soon as possible. Meanwhile, old people, women and the sick are being shifted to safer places by putting them in priority votes. In Maharashtra, rain water has wreaked havoc in several districts these days.
