Shimla: Himachal Pradesh is experiencing heavy snowfall. The heaviest snowfall of the season has been recorded in the state. More than 700 roads have been closed in the state due to the late-night snowfall. The wheels of vehicles have stopped on the roads due to snowfall. People's miseries have increased due to rain and snowfall. Shimla has received 20 cm of snow so far. Jakhu has received about 30 cm of snow.

The Meteorological Department says that heavy snowfall alert has been issued in Shimla after noon. It is being said that the faces of tourists who came to the capital Shimla have blossomed happily due to snowfall. Heavy snowfall continues in Rohtang, Manali, Jalori Pass, Janjhali. Electricity has been lost in many areas. The supply of water has also been disrupted due to snowfall, but Manali received 30 cm of snow. Dalhousie has received 35 cm of snowfall.

Multhan tehsil and Barot of Kangra district have been cut off from the country and the world due to heavy snowfall since last night. In Multhan Barot, there has been a fresh snowfall of 5-6 inches last night. The electrical subdivision in Barot has come to a complete standstill. The entire area is shrouded in darkness. Barot Ghatasani, the main road connecting Multhan Tehsil Barot, has been closed due to snow since night. Other roads in the area have also been closed.
